New from Karl Schmidt Verlag (Pt. 1: 20110625)

KSV Droogs,

It's been three months since the last update was proposed, then postponed. Why? I wanted to give everyone an opportunity to listen to their box sets, wade through the early 2011 release morass, and conversely give myself a bit of time to prepare for the tour with KD. (It's a life diary, not Merge. You must surely know this by now.) Hope you haven't been sulking too much in the interim (we let Kangol slip out of the holding pen, mind), but even if you'v e been cursing us, we're utterly assured that in the fathomless murk of our desiccated husks, you're about to have your famished lil' minds blown the fuck open again...

--

KSV 144 Come into My Life, Radio Edit - ''... weder Labor noch Topf'' (Version)

KSV 150 TLASILA - 2007 Hybrids Vol. 1 (EPs 001-007 +)

44 beastly conservatory Radigues, an isolated edition of 1999, a satisfying end to No-Cut electronics and an indispensably myriad trickle of no-colouring! Reverse Badalamentish tracks award melody, an invisible palette of electronic wood doubling as a crushed, full-doom catalog. Creating 7 and 14 decades of exclusive styles, Smith's the best, most original innovator since Marghen was carbon-dated in the late Southern sacred concrète screed. Hopping from sublime, indivisible Alga flack to dreamy no-rarity bass dirt, 2007 Hybrids yields a 41095226610054 on the mid-infinity Skala. Astonishing dimensions of TLASKSV sound! (Donnadieu, Imperial Dreidl)

--

KSV 157 Tom Smith - U2, with the Alpine Purity... (Solo Vocal #3)*

Kevin Drumm - electronics, computer, guitar, drum machines
Tom Smith - voice, edit, mix, production

--

KSV 160 Rope Cosmetology - The Honey Fox in Hare's Longing

This band takes up where TLASILA left off, much as POI followed Boat Of, and To Live and Shave in L.A. took the reins from Peach of Immortality. Massive, massive sound...

--

KSV 161 Tom Smith Sightings - Remediated Sepulchre

Another guaranteed DNA-rip, just fucking sick. Sightings and yours unruly in the studio, April 2011, remixed/reshuffled to the last decimal of the Système international d'unités' agreed-upon definition of the breaking point, if such a value were able to adequately describe (or contain) the uncertainties revealed herein.

KSV 169 Justice Yeldham - Oberdeck (18. April)

--

KSV 172 Heatsick - Befriending the Seagull

The oft-great (and greatly intoxicated) Steven Warwick, recorded live at Sturmglocke on April 2nd in support of Sightings. Oily pomegranates eaten from oily summer hats...

OK, so that's this week's larder. We'll have more next Friday, and then we'll lay low for a while until we assemble the next death throe.

Everything is the same price (€8.49 Eurozone, €11 elsewhere, both postpaid), save for Sot Inspectors, which is a two-disc burn. (€11 Eurozone, €14 elsewhere, both postpaid.)

Sincerely,
