Honing Comfort: Karl Schmidt Verlag!

Good Morning,

We hope to have all forthcoming KSV releases ready for immediate shipment by the end of the week. Rather than issue them in spastic jerks and cryptic shudders, they'll instead be launched from our forward tubes simultaneously. Take only what you're able to absorb.

The new releases:

KSV 012 Nevai/Myth - Hirtenlieder (Postponed from last year.)
KSV 062 Soi-même - Let the Clots Come (My new project with Liz Peyton 2.)
KSV 063 Screwdriver (sic) - Skewed Plural (Total fucking onomatopoetic sickness, salvaged from the ruin of TSSR.)
KSV 064 Minimal Man / Peach of Immortality & Patrick Miller - Live, Hardart Gallery, Washington, DC, November 16, 1984 (Oh yeah.)
KSV 065 A-Aachen AAL Nevada Jim - Monitor Worm (The short-lived Atlanta trio's collected studio recordings. A two-disc compendium.)
KSV 066 VA - Aerating Hortatory Trove (The complete 1996 Tora Tora Tora Festival recordings. Fourteen discs!)
KSV 067 Juror Murk - Jowl Rig Rumour (New U- und S-Bahn deformations from Karl.)
KSV 068 Silly Art Fick 25 (Live, Silke Arp Bricht, 22 Jan 10) (Two discs.)
KSV 069 Three Resurrected Drunkards - Wohlklang, 13. Feb.
KSV 071 TS - Aarau Adversarials (Turntable experiments from Ohne HQ, 2002.)

Some of these are ready to go now, but give us another few days and we'll unleash the ten-spot.

Thanks for everything!

Sunday Afternoon, Pt. 1...

Hello,

Dunno if there'll be a second installment of this thread, as German homework exercises ("trennbar" verbs) await. But it was one helluva good day, with the CP and I taking an extended photo safari romp through the outer boroughs of Hannover.

Before heading out to the burbs, we stopped off at the Kunst Verein to catch the Jason Dodge exhibition.

Below, please find me indulging my vanity whilst standing astride (and being bisected by) the artist's Your death, sub marine.

(Click for a larger version, etc.)

Hope all of you enjoyed a terrific weekend.

Euro Devaluations Are Giving Me Unusual Palpitations...

Guten Tag!

The financial crisis in Greece has really pummeled the Euro in the last five weeks. Unfortunately, prices for printing and mailing have not decreased accordingly (nor would I expect them to).

That leaves you, my beloved droogs, to soak up the difference.

I have an idea, however. I'll reduce the basic cost of individual releases (except for books, which cost far more to print, especially on demand), but add on a more precise amount to cover postage. I'll eat the printing fees for the most part, which are substantial, as I go for high quality. Guilt trip!

More on this later.

Three Resurrected Drunkards: Snaps from 2/13

Hello,

Excellent turnout last night at Wohlklang, and probably the best performance Pit and I have given in the fourteen months we've been working together as Three Resurrected Drunkards.

(Best logo in the city...)

(Pit and TS during rehearsals. Photo by Schubi.)

Wohlklang isn't a traditional venue. It's a speaker shop by day, and a gallery/performance space a few nights each month. While not a large room (it seats about ten people with what passes for comfort), between 30-40 astral navigators were in attendance. Very gratifying...

(Lots of new faces in the crowd. An intimate, relaxed, attentive atmosphere...)

We debuted two new compositions ("And the Right Moves In" and "The Exclamation"), again assayed Rope Cosmetology's "I Must Mourn," and inserted a pair of solo pieces into the middle section of the program...

All in all, a great night! Hope to see all of you there next time... (Everyone of you on Earth. We'll have to squeeze very tightly, but I'm sure we can manage it...)

Yours,

Tom

Conveying Moors on KSV!

Coming soon on KSV: Screwdriver (sic) - Skewed Plural! This was intended for release in 2006 on The Smack Shire label, but after Gerard Klauder's death, the shutters of TSSR were boarded up permanently. There were hints of a release on a Belgian imprint ca. 2008, but nothing happened. And although I would have preferred to issue this on 10" vinyl, fuck it. It's too irreparably damaged a document, and thus must be heard by everyone, everywhere. Next week! (Or the week after, depending!)
