44 Thumbs, A-Z: Prologue

Hello Again,

I've love creating thumbnails of scenes from the films I acquire (or reacquire) for my collection. It's such a random process, with one's preferred utility's algorithms often producing seemingly senseless duplications, unusual color patterns within or juxtaposed between parallel iterations, and other deformities of interest. And, as I also enjoying threading the normal TLASILA Blog entries with serial narratives, I now embark on another harried tangent in an effort to further muddy the big picture. Forty-four thumbnails, chosen randomly (albeit primarily from avant-garde shorts and obscure documentary features), for your edification. No cropping or Photoshop tweaking - enjoying each tapestry in its dim, unalloyed nascence is for me the most interesting aspect of the process...
