Portugal, Day Eleven

Hello Again,

Long break from posting, but too busy relaxing here on the southwestern coast of Europe. So far, perfection. I'm well and truly chilled.

Lots and lots to post and report; many hours of recordings in the can as well.

Have to run - no real Internet here in the hills - but I'll touch base again sooner than later. Back home on the 25th!

Best,

Tom

Off to Portugal: Orders Will Be Posted After the 25th!

Hi Again,

I was able to fill a handful of orders, but the post will soon be closed and I have a lot of errands to run before morning.

So... Take your time with the new KSV releases. I'll keep the gates open for late arrivals until we've returned from our holiday. There'll be posts from the front, of course, but no business activity. Order at your leisure - we'll keep things in print until we're back in Hannover. (The vault is officially thrown open as well while we're away, so if there's any archival material you need, you have two weeks to ask for it. Then, the doors slam shut again.)

Best,

TS

New from Karl Schmidt Verlag! Today! NOW!

Hello All,

Twenty-seven new albums are available. The latest books and mags will follow in a week. New editions of previously issued books are nearly completed as well. Those will also be offered soon. (Our printed works are always available. Albums, however, are allowed to disappear.) Give us a few weeks to ship everything to everyone, as we have a lot of work ahead of us. Remember that we abjure inventory. The fifth KSV purveys is strictly made-to-order.

Many of the new albums will arrive at your nursery swaddled in wraparound A3 posters. We even have new stickers to gratuitously affix to random plastic sleeves. Displeasure is our aim, but we fail miserably in its execution.

Pricing: single albums are €9 in the Eurozone, €12 elsewhere. Double-disc sets are €13 in the EU, €16 elsewhere. We pay the postage. PayPal: tlasila [at] gmail [dot] com.

Listening to Can's Soundtracks alb. Life is good.

Peeling anchor. Bend, till eye level. Why did it not blink, but instead strike water? The civil welcome milky knees, and the long dead welcome the flaking plaque, peeing into the air. An owner, found crossed with my seed, lying burrowed. Civil to a thought; all fields carriages.

The Grief That Shrieked to Multiply: Artwork Update

Hello Droogs,

Jakub Mikolajczyk from MonotypeRec just sent the latest iteration of the cover and interior sleeve designs for the forthcoming three-disc TLASILA remix collection The Grief That Shrieked to Multiply. It's pointedly garish, avoiding tasteful austerity and, from my POV, evoking the spirit of Corky McCoy's On the Corner sleeve while blasting Rust Belt rail-yards, thermonuclear detonations, and overflowing sacks of Michael Meyers' viscera-flecked candy corn through frayed synapses. A shamelessly livid design. I like it.

Best,

Tom
