Scours Vespers...

It's non-canonical alright but I could have done with some Couch or Sucking Co-Eds alumni action. (The Dirtbombs acquitted themselves well, though.) Still working through the album and so far I dig. No replacing or amending the originals, but that's not the point.

Lecterns Piss...

Warhol's Chelsea Girls. Newsweek's understated review was always my favorite: "MOST POWERFUL MOVIE ANYONE ANYWHERE HAS MADE."

Oared Offer Errs...

All pre-orders have been shipped, all new orders have been shipped, and I’ve still got enough copies of Approach to Fear left to turn six shitty Halloween parties into a dress rehearsal for a community theatre reenactment of The Raid 2. Thanks for your support, supporters!

(Amended from same-day socmed post.)

One of my all-time favorite tape music recordings - a true electroacoustic masterwork.

Inhales Pixy Usurps...

Here‘s ish 1 of Happiness Is Luxury (via Benedict Quilter / Independent Woman Recs / Witchhammer Verlag) - I’m punch-pressed to report I’m one of its flash fucking contributors. Others among ‘em: Kilynn Kiki, the redoubtable Seymour Glass, and Los Wolf Eyes’ J. Oldsin. Support printed media, you phone addicts!

Shitty Minx Lotto...

Tiny Mix Tapes has just published a very nice piece about Approach to Fear: Regeneration. Check it out and get your orders in before the phys copies ship. (Note: the title was inspired neither by 80s Wizard Video box art nor direct-to-DVD tropes but by a series of similarly-yclept photo assemblages by the late and way great Alexis Hunter. Just so’s you know.)

From the article:

"But now that we’ve met all the characters, gotten through all the bullshit exposition, and planted our Chekhov’s gun, let me drop the first major jump scare on you: oooooooonly 100 copiiiiiies of this bad boy will be available in the first ruuuuuuuun! That’s right, ONE-HUNDRED COPIES (I told you it’d get spooky!). So start getting in those pre-orders over at Bandcamp, where you can also read the entire list of contributors because, I’m sorry, but I’m not typing that out."
