Horoscopo Tour: Day 1

In my skivvies again, getting ready for bed. Rehearsed at Ultrasound on W 21st for four hours; we wrote two new songs and mapped out a much different arrangement for "Mothers over Silverpoint." Nervous as hell about the upcoming dates, but in the best possible sense - it's the uncertainty that offers such unbridled elation.

Rat's stuck at Miami International, waiting out the remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto. Flight restrictions won't be lifted until tomorrow afternoon; he should arrive at Newark around 8:30 pm.

Really starting to pass out... More tomorrow!

You know, for someone who's relatively new to TLASILA fandom, and for someone who's not exactly sure what to think of the music itself - I'm very excited for the prospects of seeing this group perform in person soon.

All the questions that for me remain unanswered in relation to this sound - I'm sure the answers are more likely to come to me in the live setting.

Any updates on the November-ish tour? Anything coming together?

00, I'm not sure what to think of the music myself! I guess that's what keeps me interested in art - I'm mired in unknowing. No answers means infinite questions... We'll probably be a little shaky for the first few dates, then fall apart completely in NYC!

(Nah, j/k. I think it's gonna be exciting. But, as I wrote earlier, I do have more than a few species of butterflies fluttering about in my gut.)

No Nov-Dec updates at the moment. We'll jump all over it on returning from the Horoscopo mini-jaunt, but as of this moment, only the first NYC date is confirmed. (And that one may be shoved back a few days...)

Best,

TS

For Dino Sr., a dreadful mishap. For music lovers, a winning Powerball ticket.

Rat just arrived from Florida - he sends sloppy kisses.

Best,

Be sure to eat some poutine once you reach Quebec... unless of course you prefer your arteries unclogged.

Yo Tom, Can't seem to download the Pussy Galore tape you posted. Would love it if you could put the link back up fer A Day. Best,-Jed

Thanks for the tip, BB.

Jed, the PG bootleg has been removed from the server. If you make inquiries within file sharing nets, I am certain you will find a copy. Bon chance!

Best,

For anyone harboring any doubts... GO SEE THIS BAND! You need to see and hear this group live, it's like nothing else. The set was exceptional last night in Montreal.

Toronto set was damn sharp, too. I must say that you guys sure kept it coming and then completely torched it at the end.

Looking forward to the next one. Can't even imagine this with eight men hammering it out.
