Fuck... Does This Mean I'm Gonna Live to Be 1,000?

In this morning's New York Times' Health section, the news I've been dreading:

"A Surprising Secret to a Long Life: Stay in School."

I took my last Russian class at VSU in May... At 50.

I'm so screwed. Eternal life is not what it's cracked up to be!

Well at least I can look forward to some curmudgeonly discussions with a 125 year old Tom on my 100th birthday. Did the article mention and connection between loan deferment and long life? I mean seriously, if I can cheat the system by staying in school in order to bypass repaying my loans I definitely would. The problem would be the cyclical nature or the ordeal: stay is school to bypass loan repayment; being a perennial student leads to immortality; immortality leads to perpetually dodging loan repayments; rinse, repeat.

ps. random chat with the guitarist of ye mighty Tron of Tallahassee revealed his adoration for Peach of Immortality and his attendance of a show in ATL(?) where he believed "two hermaphrodites were on-stage cutting themselves"??? After which I informed them that had he and his band mates "stayed" to watch the squelching ensue he would have seen you perform again two decades(?) later.

-ps.

There was definitely devil makeup going on back in the day, but no hermaphrodites (at least to my knowledge), and no self-mute action. Tron-lad was dreamin'.

he did mention the make-up.

the weirdest part of it all though was that i was in the middle of discussing "bending a wireless doorbell for my friend Tom," with someone else when he interjected adding the surname "Tom Smith? From Peach of Immortality???"

random association mind-fuck for the 2nd of '07.
