To Live and Shave in L.A. - "The Drugs' Drug-House Dissolving"

Tom Smith Don Fleming - Gin Blossoms EP
(1991, Seminal Twang CD Twang 7.)
Availability: long out of print.
01 Izzy
02 Dizzy
03 Too Young
04 Swinging Sal
05 Freda's Surfing Board
Recorded February 1991 at Waterworks, NYC, by Don Fleming and Jim Waters. Mixed and produced by Don. The "Funhouse" loop that supplied "Sal"'s backbone is rather irritatingly obvious, but otherwise, a fondly-remembered popwarp excursion. DF dragged me out of my no-vox, improv-only cave, kick-starting the TLASILA juggernaut in the process. He has a helluva lot to answer for...
The EP hovered about the Dead Sea ledge of the NME poop charts for a week or two. 'Twas the closest I've ever come to mainstream recognition. Cunts.
Music TSDF / Lyrics TS.
(32 MB, ripped at 320 kbps.)
