Seriously - the point of these exercises is to bring antipodes into proximity and abrade (or at least camouflage) respective deficiencies. How cool would it be to have Kevin Tomkins doing freestyle screeching over John Popper's harp noodling? Most people would be horrified, but it's at those junctures of universal aesthetic revulsion where I become most energized...
