My uncle's funeral was yesterday...

I didn't much feel like writing during the week. Mainly I hung out with my extended family - the cousins, nieces and nephews I seldom have the opportunity to visit - and enjoyed the shared solace of fellowship. These recent days have been suffused with melancholy, but also underscored with resounding, joyous chords writ in whorls of dazzling filigree...
