Eleven from the 11th...

We kicked it tourist style yesterday at Castelo de Sao Jorge. Intense panoramas...

The cool ticket agent practically begged me to produce a student ID, and my moldering VSU card secured us half off the entrance fee. Ecstasies of higher education are at last revealed...

The surrounding labyrinths comprise my favorite mini-neighborhood in all of Alfama.

(Until we stumble over the next one.)

(Photo courtesy of a very kind fellow tourist who spoke not one syllable of either English or German. Not even "OK." Very refreshing... No, wait, CP has corrected me. He said "falash," meaning "flash," so he did know a smattering, and as a probable Lisboan he had the right not to use our fetid tongues...)
