Shavebox(es): Update...
(Amended 30 Oct, 1 Nov, and 9 Nov 09.)
Hello Again,
The TLASILA remix project, The Grief That Shrieked to Multiply, is now deeply and profoundly bonkers. It's grown to a three-disc set (CDs, not CDRs), and the folks at Monotype have encouraged us, dared us to go further, at every orthopedically-shod step of the way. As of this late hour, this is the confirmed line-up (meaning, we requested their submissions, and they have been received): rm74 (aka Reto Mäder), Howard Stelzer, Aprox., Alexei Borisov, Carlos Gifoni, Truth Serum, Andy Ortmann, Richard Divine, Kasra Mowlavi, Otto Von Schirach, 16 Bitch Pileup, Medroxy Progesterone Acetate, RWL (Ralf Wehowsky), Anton Nikkilä, Dave Phillips, Dino Felipe (whose original submission - prior to its pruning - snarled and sputtered for 38 sun-poisoned minutes!), Larsen, Micose & the Mau Maus, Graham Moore, Sudden Infant, Don Hassler, Sickboy Milkplus, Patrick Spurlock, Ironing, Duran Duran Duran, Igor Mihovilovic, Tree Creature, Rudof Eb.er's Runzelstirn & Gurgelstock, Thee Majesty, Weasel Walter, Blevin Blechtum, Wouter Jaspers, Astrid Hagenguth & Pit Noack, William Fowler Collins, C. Spencer Yeh, Stefan Roigk, Cornucopia, Raionbashi, Evil Moisture, Phillippe Petit, Issac Linder, Jared Louche, Kevin Drumm, Family Battle Snake, Don Fleming, Terminal 11, Staplerfahrer, Chrissy Murderbot, Magas, Dylan Nyoukis, Achim Wollscheid, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and Aaron Dilloway.
The above luminaries quaffed darker than dark matter before switching on their vintage Magnetophons.
Yes, it's that good.
As for the 20-year retrospective on Menlo Park, I'm still puzzling over its contents, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't also a three-CD set. I've filled an external drive with over100 200 (yikes!) GB of all manner of TLASILA material, beginning with the first trio of 1990 demos, extending to the present. Don't fear - it will be dripping with insanely rare treasures and mega-peculiarities.
More Tomorrow,
Tom
