Subway Sect: Two Hours and Counting...

This is the first time I've been giddy about a gig in a long, long time. Vic Godard is the only original Sect member aboard, but fuck it. With their literate, foreboding, subversive, often majestic clutch of songs, coming as they did from the oddest of the odd-duck claque of '76 aesthetes, I'd be dead not to be excited. It's been intimated a bit too often but yeah, they're the very definition of punk. Against it, in all its deformations.
