Anaemic Senior...

As we all know, the self-titled 1980 debut by Cleveland's American Noise wiped existing genres off the map and paved the way for a myriad of brutalist tangents, from the rapey automorphism of Prurient to the James Last-inspired - er, sorry, wrong essay. Yeah, AN weren't so hot, kind of a cross between a cruise ship cover outfit and a curled and yellowed page from a 1974 issue of GQ Tampa. Kim Fowley squirreled into the sessions or knew of them beforehand and co-wrote a pair of pretty fucking dull songs with the group, to scant avail. Within a year they were dead meat bobbing atop the flaming Cuyahoga...
