хорошее везение

Altho if translated I have asked about buying a goat with bananas I apologise...

Nicely done, Donna! Yours is a literal translation, easily understood by most Russian language speakers. A more common, idiomatic expression would be "Удача," or "success."

Not too many banana-hungry goat merchants in Moscow - the average urban Russian neighborhood looks more like a slightly rundown midwestern American city center district than a medieval bazaar - but heads would certainly turn at the offer!

Many thanks for the good wishes. (Yawn...) So sleepy!

Thanks guys... The final turned out well. I made an A in the class, although I should note that while my comprehension of Russian is quite good (I hear and read it well), I still speak and write with awkwardness, at least in a classroom setting. However, in relaxed social settings (after many drinks have been poured), or by necessity (after being stopped by Moscow police in the Metro for a routine document check), I speak like a fucking diplomat...

Bruno, the cover of Noon is top left; Ben's original draft cover (which will be used for the tour posters) is bottom right.

Yours Sincerely,

Tom
